Celluon has invented a new type of mouse that reads simple finger movements as mousing commands. The evoMouse sits on any flat surface and lets your finger act like a mouse, as if you were using a big touchpad. You can tap to click, make a weird gesture to right click, and even use a variety of fancy multitouch gestures.

GestureWorks ships with a library of over 200 built-in gestures. This library is built upon an open source gesture framework, allowing developers to customize and extend the “gesture object” to create support for new gestures. You can try GestureWorks multitouch software for free.

Window shopping of the future will be exactly that, with consumers able to make purchases from in front of the store, even after hours. Using 3D imaging technology, researchers in Germany are developing a system capable of recognizing facial gestures and hand position, so that shoppers can control a digital shop window display. The system allows for transactions, and can collect data on shopper trends without collecting personal data such as facial recognition. For those germ-conscious shopaholics who think public touchscreens are a conduit for nasties, this is the interactive shop window for you.
Until it was pointed out to me, I didn't even notice the onscreen feedback. Regardless, I love playing this game using my body versus controls. Even the word controls cracks me up as it implies you're in control, which I don't seem to be.
